I struggled to get Alex.exe to work with Steam, what I did in the end was to install EB in my Alexander folder. Then go to the games tab in Steam, select Alexander and click Properties, select Set launch options and type -mod:eb -show_err -nm -noalexander in the box.

    http://files.filefront.com/Alexander.../fileinfo.html

Then download that file and you will be ready to go.

The link I provided is just EB Alexander, I haven't tried the mini mod pack. Check the mini mod pack thread in the Unofficial mods forum for where to install that.

I just checked the download link for Alexander EB, you will need to open it with winrar or something similar. You won't be able to simply extract it into your folder as the file name is wrong, so double click on Rome - Total War when it opens then move the two files inside into your Alexander folder.

Thanks! Does the basic alexander mod you provided also have all of the current EB fixes as the mini mod does or do I need to add those as well?

Also- If I put the mini mod in the Alexander folder will that work as well?

yes it contains all the fixes but you might want to try to make it work with the trivial script (so you dont have to switch EDUs when you want to switch between MP and SP....

try if the original EB shortcuts work ...if they don't you can proceed with the -mod:eb -show_err -nm -noalexander

    good luck!

    You have a steam-powered computer?

    Far out, dude.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
And YES, I know what Steam is. No need to explain. I was joking.

Great thanks! I will put EB 1.1 and then the files from EB Alexander you both provided in my Alexander folder and then change the steam launch. Hopefully that will do the trick!

It worked! Thanks for the tips guys! :)
