    Default Sick songs

Say what you want about Noo Awleenz, but that town gave us some of the best music in the world, and the best of them in my opinion is Dr John.

Now the good doctor has written some really sick songs in his life time (which isn't half over if his houngan is to be believed) and this gave me the idea for a thread.

Post the sickest songs you know of.

Give us your singing pervs and schizophrenics, post their temptest-tossed songs, clips or lyrics here. No porn or offensive stuff obviously, we can do without and subtlety always trumps bluntness.

May I open this dance with the legendary Dr John hisself, and his song 'How Come My Dog Don't Bark When You Come Round'?

    I love this song.

I’m goin’ straight down to dat barber supply shop
Get me a pearl handle, double edge, hollow ground, super blue blade, adjustable, stainless steel
Hhoned edge, both blades on the same side
So when I cut you once, you gonna bleed twice, goin’ an’ comin’.
An’ if you don’ believe me, shake yo’ head; it’ll be singin’ “I ain’t got no body.
The bloody trouble is we are only alive when we’re half dead trying to get a paragraph right. - Paul Scott

There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

    "Drip Drip" by Comus.

    Part 1
    Part 2

Actually, just about any song from that album could qualify. I think what makes this song (and the album in general) so messed up is that such horrifying lyrics (no porn/offensive stuff, mind you, just creepy) are set to such beautiful folk music.

Surely a mention for "Every Breath You Take" by Sting, being as it is essentially about him stalking his ex? Bonus points for the fact that is generally considered a romantic love song to be played at weddings and such.

I've been listening to the music of Steve Albini's band Big Black lately, and just about all of their songs are mean and nasty.

They've got songs about spousal abuse, bored kids immolating themselves, going to a slaughterhouse for entertainment purposes, the Jordan, Minnesota affair(written before it was determined to be a case of overzealous prosecution), and a guy killing a girl because she'd go out with him but not his brother.

Here's "Pigeon Kill", one about farmers using poisoned corn to control the bird population.

Using that logic, why not "In the air tonight" by good baldie Phil Collins?

    Lou Reed.

    The Kids.

Nowt to do with Britney BTW.

If memory serves they told the producers children that their mother had died and recorded the reaction to gain the effect heard at the end of the track. Sick indeed.

Nope, I'm wromg. It was a myth.

"The Kids" tells of Caroline having her children taken from her by the authorities, and contains a particularly upsetting mid-section featuring the sounds of children shouting for their mother. This segment is so harrowing that a legend has arisen telling how producer Bob Ezrin went home one night and told his children that their mother had (in different versions) either left them or died, and recorded their response.[citation needed] Later, Ezrin dispelled this myth, stating that he had just asked to his younger son to go to bed...[citation needed] In actuality, Joshua Ezrin, Ezrin's youngest son, was outside the screen door of their house for a few minutes, and while he was pleading to be let back inside, his cries were recorded and put on the album.[citation needed] The Waterboys take their name from a line in this song.[1]

Another poignant track from the album Berlin is Caroline says II.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    Caroline says
As she gets up off the floor
Why is it that you beat me
    It isnt any fun

    Caroline says
As she makes up her eyes
You ought to learn more about yourself
    Think more than just i

But shes not afraid to die
All her friends call her alaska
When she takes speed, they laugh and ask her

    What is in her mind
    What is in her mind

    Caroline says
As she gets up from the floor
You can hit me all you want to
But I dont love you anymore

    Caroline says
    While biting her lip
Life is meant to be more than this
And this is a bum trip

But shes not afraid to die
All her friends call her alaska
When she takes speed, they laugh and ask her

    What is in her mind
    What is in her mind

She put her fist through the window pane
It was such a funny feeling

    Its so cold in alaska

I met a girl in LA
    The million dollar kind
She was all for all or nothing
She was open all the time
But when I called her number
Her mother's on the line, saying
    You've no business
    As God's my witness
With a child as young as mine

So make sure that she's old enough
    Before you blow your mind
She may look like she knows enough
    But look in her eye
    And if so
    Let her go
You'll let her down in style

I met a girl in Paris
    She talked like Vera Lynn
And her eyes were full of dew drops
    The moment I walked in
    She was awfully nice
The kind that likes to win
    But if Id been wiser

My mother did something to me

She said never mind son, let’s have some fun
Your pantaloon is undone, I can see you’re well hung
And then she fiddled with my cords and then she aaaaargh!

    My mother gummed my weapon…

King Oedipus I need a Puss, my mother’s just as good as any other
She drives me wild, like a Hyena

Uh huh huh, uh huh huh me mama es a whore
Uh huh huh, uh huh huh me espagnol is poor

Ever since I’ve been at my mother’s nipple, guess I’ve been in dipple
Now I fully converted, I’m heavily perverted
Like I wanna have sex with a mutant Ibex
Wanna whack my wand in the nearest pond
Wanna stick my spear in a Stingray’s ear

Now my mother got jealous of my new bedfellas
    Started picking an argument
She said Son you’re bent I said AAAAARGH!

She said don’t wanna cause offence, now you’re making no sense I said AAAAARGH!
She said don’t wanna cause friction, but what’s your diction? I said AAAAAARGH!
She said express yourself another way, we’re on the TA

    So I shot her

As the blood spilled from her chest she said son there’ll be no more incest
I said I know mother that’s why I killed ya
