    Default A few questions

    Well two actually but anyway.

So the first regards the victory conditions map for the Romani faction and the cities it has to raid in order to win the game. Now if it's not too much trouble could someone tell me why the romans have to raid Maryab in arabia. This being EB i gather there must be some historical motive so i'm curious as to what it is, now I know the maps are out of date but still, there must have been a reason at some point.

Secondly can i add my name to the list of potential names for FM. If yes how can i do this.

Gah that's three questions. Never mind.

    Romans in Maryab: No idea.

    Adding family member names:

Add the names to descr_names, names, and descr_names_lookup.
    This space intentionally left blank.

Under the emperor Augustus, an army was sent to capture the reason to control the trade routes going through there, IIRC. It failed. Miserably, if I recall correctly.

Indeed an Army was send by the romans at it in the early Empire. They were guided by a Nabataian (I can't come up with the name atm), but they still couldn't handle the dessert. Many men died before even being close to it. No surprise the campaign failed miserably. The romans blamed their nabataian guide for it. (Now I don't think he's to really blame though, as the army had had nabataian reinforcements. So it seems unlikely to me he did it on purpose.)
