    These three games do not always crash during the same AI nation turn, so I've stated the nation most recently observed. I've tried all the permanent fixes and then the temporary ones. I've tried without activating the script. I've done clean reinstalls twice.

    Casse 226bc cashed in Romani turn. Once I actually got this to go to the next turn but it crashed again as soon as I defeated the garrison of Gawjam-Silengoz.

    Sweboz 235bc (was using Win Conditions mod, but have tested without) crashed in AS turn. A shame, I was trying to test what would happen to the Baltic pirates if there were no Elutheroi regions left there.

    And most disasterously:
    Baktria 243 crashed in AS turn. I had another save from a few turns earlier, which when I loaded crashed at exactly the same spot as this one, so the cause was already in progress. The first time in 1.1 I've got a game properly going with my favourite faction too. :(

    No. I make extensive use of Quicksave. All of these are quicksaves renamed. Does it make a difference?

    Just got through the Sweboz one, by ignoring the script, although I'm sure I tried that before. The others still crash though. Just upgraded video drivers to Catalyst 8.8 as well.

    [Edit] Spoke too soon. The (clean) save i made once the Sweboz game had finished that turn won't load, CTD.

    You may be affected in as bad a degree as Quintus by the clones and bannerless armies causing crashing. Perhaps you should try to install the unofficial mod that removes the client ruler script, which seems to aggravate this problem for some.

    In 1.2 we'll have a scriptless way of creating client rulers.

    As you love the client rulers, you should probably try the potential fix that's listed as an optional fix instead of removing them. It's not a guaranteed success either way.

    I'm pretty sure the Sweboz games and probably the others used that script. I'm trying a new Baktria game with the Client rulers removed, we'll see how that goes.

    I've been thinking about this and the crashes only started after the optimised scripts were installed. I got through several campaigns OK up until then. Sorry LordBuLa.

    New Baktria campaign with Client ruler section of script removed OK so far - 240bc.

    You can still get them, in a roundabout way. Build your type IV, regional barracks up to V, recruit mercenary general and give them the Client Ruler trait in the console.
    It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
    Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
    Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR
