I have never played with the loincloths on, I´ve just never seen any reason. Too me they´re a just like every unit, I don´t really think about their lack of pants. Only annoying thing about them is that on another forum I have to place these crotchdots on them when I have pics of them in my AAR. Annoying moderators back there.
