However a part of his army split of somewhere as they were invited by a Bithynian leader in a struggle for the throne. So they went to Asia Micra where they continued plundering. Antiochus I however defeated them in battle and put them to a stop. These Celts then settled down in the region of modern Ancyra and then became some of the most valued mercenaries used by the local powers. Even the ptolemaioi in Egypt used these men in large numbers. That's why if you walk around in caïro you can still find natives with blond hair and blue eyes.
