Default Lots of CTDs -- any easy ways to mitigate?

I'm having a lot of CTDs, all occurring when the screen zooms in to enter the battle map. Usually, if I save just before and reboot after the CTD, the battle works fine on the second try.

Anything I can do to minimize this? I imagine it's a known issue, is there anything I can do besides simply saving every time I end a turn or initiate a battle? Is it a memory thing? I run Windows Vista and I don't exit my virus protection (Norton 360).

It's not a huge problem, but it's a bit of an annoying thing, especially if I forget to save.

    Thanks...

Hah, yes! I know exactly what's going on.

    Try compatibility mode, Windows XP.

    Just get the fixes.

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.
