Here's a curious question, are we going to see any historical characters in this story at some point? I know this story is purely fictional but around 50BC is a time of civil war, the Parthians are on the east of the borders, maybe one day we could just see....

It's not obligatory to have historical characters as main characters. For example,in one of my favourite books, "The Name of the Rose" by Umberto Eco the struggle between the German (and Holy Roman) Emperor and the Pope was only hinted. There was not a single scene with either of them. It depends on the writer's choice. This story is progressing and I wonder how far it would go
