This has been a very bloody battle, and it has swong back and forth in favour. Two questions, though:
Lets say I choose to have him as a prisoner and I win this battle and survive. Can I then do whatever I want with him? Like, keep him as my pet? Build him into a pillar in the new barracks in Antiocheia, and keeping an opening for his head so he can survive for more torture and pain? Can I have a little parade and play with him, like Caesar shamefully did to Vercingetorix (though I think I'd be a little more 'playful' than that Roman dog was)?
If I choose to have him prisoner, but then lose/die, can I then change instructions and have him killed? Like if I informed the guards to kill him in case I die/lose?
1. If you win the battle and survive then his avatar is always kept inside your army until you either release or kill him.
2. If you get killed in this battle then you still have the chance to kill him. You just have to send me orders with a PM. If no PM's are sent then he will walk free after your death.
Also, I never thought that random.org dice rolls could be so .. random!
For some reason, it never liked missile divisions!![]()
In other words I take it I can indeed roleplay that: just get him to Antiocheia, then practically execute him, but storyline-wise build him into that pillar/whatever else I want.![]()
Yes.
I knew I should have retreated..... mini could still win it, and if he does I don't really care if I die or live. mini! Take HIM OUT DARN IT I don't care if you run, just kill him first!!!!!!!!!![]()
ahh well, do your worst TCV,
I guess this is the end of the story of Patrokles, but just the beginning of the Adiabenikos lineage! (he has a son!!!!yes!!!)
by the way, if Sarpedon tries to bring me back to Antioch I plan on committing suicide with whatever is available. Or even better, suicide rush to Sarpedons, forcing him to kill me.

You can't. You know how the uruk-hais transported Merry and Pippin? You would be transported kind of like that, only better watched and with more psychological and physical abuse. You'd be firmly bound behind your back and you'd be kept in such a mental state you wouldn't be able to summon the wits to avoid your guards and charge me... if you could even pick me out through the blur. Even if you managed to do that miraculous feat, there's no reason I'd have to kill you - just knock you down, and then subject you to more psychological torture. You'd break down in no time.
You'd have no means whatsoever to commit suicide either. There's no way out for you, my friend!![]()

I could bit through my own tongue . That would kill me easily enough.

Ok, this battle is over. I will do a write up soon and try to figure out how to get the results of this battle into the game.
Merlinus, just remember that if I'm still alive after the battle, I want to take the save before you end it. Thanks.
I got distracted and will not be able to do the final write up today.
I will tell how the battle ended though.
After failed attack against Sarpedon Epikrates retreated. So, the winner of this battle is Sarpedon.
Surviving units:
Sarpedons side
Sarpedon
1 Argyraspides
1 Pezhetairoi
1 Hypaspistai
1 Thorakitai
1 Caucasian Archers
2 Pandotapoi Phalangitai
1 Ioudaioi Taxeis
Patrokles'/Epikrates' side:
Epikrates
3 Pandotapoi Phalangitai
2 Toxotai
Please do not move your armies before I have disbanded destroyed units and made some other changes!
Merlinus, don't end the save! I'll take it tomorrow after I get back from work. I promise I'll be quick then. Sry for holding this game for another day!![]()

Really, to my mind this battle was a success for the rebels. My capture non withstanding, a bunch of levy phalanx and Toxotai almost managed to destroy the most powerful army in the arche. which gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling. The KotC is not dead yet, I promise you that! ( I will also have to take the save and recalculate Rebel upkeep, and perhaps look for a new avatar, although I wont take him over until TCV truly Kills Patrokles.)
good times.......![]()

Now, what happened to Epikrates? Did I capture him too?
no, I retreated ;-)
Yeah, but you're not in the 'surviving units list' (which Sarpedon is), and that's why I asked.
Epikrates retreated with his troops. I must have forgot to add his name there.![]()
Yeah I probably need to find a new avatar....
Pity, I really liked Patrokles.

Not yet. First he gets to enjoy a paid vacation in torture land.![]()
Sarpedons actions have only succeeded in making him even more arrogant and jerkish in my mind.
No offense TCV, I hope that was what you were going for![]()

no you have a point.
Ibn, when I choose a avatar can I have him start in Babylon? I am obviously rejoining the rebels. (and need to punish a certain defector.....

that is still a possibility...... we will see I guess. though with my luck I will probably end up captured again.......
I wasted way to much time on The KotC to let it die now..... But I guess it is mostly out of my hands at the moment.
( I will take the save after Ibn I guess. No reason to do it now....)

does anybody else have trouble downloading the save? my download always seems to stop at 63.9kb, where the time remaining increases to 20+ minutes
could somebody be so kind as to upload it onto another file host other than rapidshare and megaupload? both sites apparently do not like me downloading from them.

Bwahaha, since the KotC's capital was captured, Epikrates has to re-proclaim himself as a rebel if he wish to continue his little rebellion, and that would mean no reinforcements for him. It's not looking good for the KotC.![]()
