I looked at the army distributions for a while and decided that I could not win without suffering a significant amount of casualties.

Which Army attacked you? There were two Ptolemaic armies in south(almost full stacks) and two smaller ones near hierosolyma. So, I'm curious.. which one attacked you?

Also.. It will count as a defeat and I need to know how was it called - Clear Defeat? Average Defeat? Close Defeat?

I don't know where the army came from, but it is commanded by Alexandros Thraikikos, about a 3/4 stack. I can see counting it as a defeat, but there was no after battle screen. I clicked the 'retreat' button on the battle deployment screen.

Also, I know this is awful timing, but I am going to be out of town for the next few days (until Tuesday the 21st). Celtic Punk can continue the Liberation til it is over or I get back, I only ask that if we do not take Hierosolyma someone move my character to Damaskos.

That's one of the armies from south. Next time I'll just move those two large armies via console to somewhere else. When I planned this Event I decided that if an Army of that size will threaten the Event then I'll just move them. This Event shouldn't be impossible to complete.

I think thats a bad idea. The event has become very difficult, not impossible. I think the threat of failure makes it all the more fun.

That's true. But to fight against 2 almost full stack Ptolemaic Armies? I think in one of them there are some mercenaries as well(Cretans and Thessalians)

I think you are right. Also this way Alexandros will not lose any battle points he have gained so far.

I was planning to suggest in the Council thread we should combine our armies into one stack if necessary and vote who leads and who becomes King. It's certainly not what I had in mind at the start, but it gives us a chance to take the city. We have 3 half stacks, if one takes out the army holding the bridge the other two could combine and take Jerusalem.

I pm'ed LordofUmbar last night to ask if he minded my attacking, I haven't had a reply yet. Probably better not to, I would hate to have his character die or something if I did. Unlikely but you never know...
Just do what you had planned and move the Ptolemaic army out of the way to let the armies past. Could you take my character out and move him back to Babylon please?

I may very well write such a story, and please do have Cunobelinus poke fun at him.

I simply had no interest in my character becoming King of Jerusalem through "cheating" to move the Ptolemaic army away from the river crossing. I didn't want to attack without LordofUmbar's permission to use his units and nobody else had any ideas, so I took my character out of the event and let you guys work it out on your own.

BTW I-K, I get the feeling that people not having control over their characters for this even has meant a few people have lost interest a little bit, perhaps future events should let people keep control of their characters. Not criticising by the way, I think it was a very good idea, it just feels like I haven't used Lykikos in ages.

You all would have been near Hierosolyma much faster but when putting the Event together I forgot the Winter/Summer Campaign Restrictions. I had to use console sometimes to move your avatars at all!
Anyway.. I consider letting you control your avatars in the next Event. The world is huge and we can still do similar missions! To India.. Greece.. Italy.. or further..

I think it is easier for me to set up a new Royal Library. I have been waiting WH to return for too long. This means that current Library is out of date. Because I can't change posts and I don't want to bother TinCow with all this huge work of editing WH's posts then I will just post a new Royal Library. This way I can be sure that I can edit and change the data in it myself. I hope to get the new Library up and running before the next Council Session. If I'm not able then I at least post the current Influence and some other vital info. So don't be surprised if I don't answer to your PM's and question in the next couple of days. It's a lot of picture taking, uploading, cropping etc do be done!

I don't know how long you have to wait for someone to upload a new save (who is not the chancellor... that can take a while, at least it does for me ), but I think the 3 hours he has had now should be more than enough. Still, I have sent a PM to remind him, so out of consideration that he might have just forgotten, you may wait a short while.

In any case, I myself will not take it until at least 14:00 tomorrow (UTC +2) when I-K has done his moves, so if you can get it before then everything will be fine. If not, then I'll extend it seeing as it wasn't your fault, but I'd rather not. So if you have no chance of getting it before 14:00 tomorrow, and can't wait a short while for Roka, then I would prefer that you just take the save he took and let him redo whatever he did, or miss the chance altogether. After all, if he forgot or something, then it is very unfortunate, but also his own fault.

I'm going to have to withdraw from this. I have problems having two EB's installed (play on Steam) so I haven't been able to have a campaign while playing WoTB. I've been itching to get into that Pahlava game I keep promising myself. If it's OK with I-K I will continue play Lykikos as a nobleman based in Seleukeia, but I won't be able to move him or fight any battles.

No problem! Moving the avatar is not that important actually! I think that if you stay and help us in the Council Sessions, proposing Edicts and directing the fate of the Arche that way, is even more important.

it makes better sense this way anyway. Your character's fiasco in Judea would probably end up with him never seeing command ever again. I'm looking forward my characters eventual stop-by in Antioch to visit the council :D

I also would like to know which one, Rodrico Stak or 00jebus, will attack Hierosolyma? And who will become the 'King of Iudaioi'?
