poeple in the west admittedly don't process it lto the level of hindus, but this is due to cultural considerations, not due to usefulness level/ efficiency (as said, they're surprisingly efficient). poeple like you don't help either. I believe the west needs to pay more attention to it, and learn not to fear it too much (call me mad, but if its useful=use it to the max, and over use it if one must). bear in mind, if done properly, they can be surprisingly safe (yes, I'm considering the health hazards.)

anyways, i'm wasting time and post space here trying to do the things TW fanatic warns against in his sig. I won't reply to any comment BTW.

Actually, some Sinatra is quite soothing after a hard-fought battle. But mostly listen tho the EB-music, though. It really gets you in the EB-mood.

Why has this turned into an Aemilius Paulus Debate AND music discussion? I came here to talk about music! But since everyone else is giving in their 2 cents, so will I. Ahem: He seems to be an interesting fellow, and that is all I will say. I love music, though, and many of the things on his despise list. More for me, I say.

Anyway, I listen to the EB music, but really epic stuff is fun too. Sonata Arctica, I suppose, but some classical epic stuff. Like Trans-Siberian Orchestra. They have a version of Beethoven's Fifth that is made for epic Sweboz campaign. I need to stop using the word epic.

I share the opinion of Aemilius Paulus when it comes to really loud music, I hate having to scream to talk, it doesen't matter if it is Heavy Metal or Gregorian Chants if they are loud I don't like them, but I like Listening to music if I control the volume wich usually is quite low.

In EB I Listen to the EB music generally but somethimes I listen Nightwish for those hard bloody battles.

What´s the point of listening to a band like Nightwish if you´re gonna have the volume turned down real low? That´s like happy dancing to Tokio Hotel or breakdancing to Bob Dylan. It just kinda destroys the very point of the music.

I read somewhere that up to 10% of the population doesn't see the appeal of music, but they don't show it. Also, if you're going to have battle music, it needs to be loud, period. We aren't talking some namby-pamby chamber music here, we're talking screaming electric guitars as thousands of your foe are killed!

(Mild pet peeve there. I don't like chamber music. Sounds too much like elevator music. Basically everything else is ok, though)

I used to actually not like music, but I think it was Led Zepplin that made me change my mind.

    Mezarkabul.

As wierd as it may sound, Turkish heavy Metal kicks ass. Bir is perfectly suited for those incredibly tough battles where both you and your men are hard pressed for morale.

Nought but whatever's on there. I don't have a separate music player in the room with the computer, and I have as little as possible running at the same time as the game.
It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
    Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR

I'm sure you mean "that's like listening to Tokio Hotel". I mean, that's a thing people should never be allowed to do.

Of course. You don't have to distort the loudspeaker in addition to distorting the guitar. Then again, I don't listen to Nightwish all that much anymore, it's more Soilwork, Joe Satriani and 69 Eyes these days.

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

I do NOT answer PM requests for help with EB. Ask in a new help thread in the tech help forum.
