Chancellor/Basileus Report, Summer 271

This year start with good news. Phanias Laodikeias Lydikes, Satrap of Parthaya, have been accepted to the Royal Family after his last battle against some brigands between the Ekbatana-Apameia road. His benefactor is Achaios Syriakos.

I moved the units that are supposed to be part of Sarpedon Syriakos' Royal Army under command of Timarchos Anaias Mysiakes so that he could destroy Rebel force near him. If he have done that he can escort those units towards Antiocheia if he want. If not then he must leave those units where they are after the battle.

My Royal Army is under command of Captain Anaximbrotos. Attalos Pergamou Mysiakes is expected to take Command over them in this season. He can then proceed against Sidon. Spy have been positioned west of the city. At the moment there are just 3 units in garrison(Pandotapoi Phalangitai, Ioudaoi Taxeis and a unit who the spy were not able to identify)

Also, there is a small Ptolemaioi Army under command of Captain Stephanos south of Antiocheia. We suspect that they will go to Sidon.

I have sent the Parthian Army list to Bithys N. Parthiakes. Two units of Pantodapoi Phalangitai are still on their way to Margiane. They have to move across the Satrapy of Hekatompylos so I ask that Lydikes would allowed me to move them across the Satrapy myself.

Admiral Leon is near Side. I allow Aratos A. Syriakes to move them near Tarsos and use the fleet to go to Cyprus. If that is done then move the fleet to the nearest port(That would be Tarsos' port).

Pontic Heir, Ariobarzanes Kianos, is north of Ipsos. I assume he plan to go against Nikaia. If not and they attack Ipsos then Lydian Army have to leave Side and go to defend Ipsos.

Another news from the known world..

In west, Romanoi barbarians have made peace with the Arverni barbarians. Should we be concerned hearing such news?

Our last enemy, Ptolemaioi, is the strongest 'faction' in the known world. But looks like they are having some financial problems 'cause we've heard that they are bankrupt.
