    Basileus' Report

Moved all my RA units under my command. Unit of Eastern Slingers that I ordered is not recruited though.

Moved Apollonides Alindas Karikes towards my RA(General Appo's SOT allows me to do it).

Moved Nikarchos Asterias Syriakes towards Ipsos.

Turned FOW off and removed the automanage thing in Mazaka.

Killed those 4 RBG's that were there waiting Rodrico Stak. Since he did not choose then I killed them. If RS want new ones then he can just say it and new ones will be spawned.

Marched 1st Lydian Army to help defend Damaskos and Support our forces in Sidon. I suspect we have a small window in which if it can make it in time the RA would be able to invade much more easily across the Ptolmy's borders. However, it is possible that an enemy force is massing within the fog...

    Chancellor's Report, Winter 265/Spring 264

Military: Eastern Slingers have been raised for the Basileus' Royal Army in Edessa. On our southern front, Sidon has been besieged again by the Ptolemaioi, this time they brought more troops with them, intelligence report to follow with more details. Hamaktyon Nikopoleos Syriakes was ambushed by Ptolemaic strategos Alexandros Thraikikos outside of Hierosolyma, alas he was severely outnumbered and had to flee the field in the end, though he did survive the battle. He is en-route to Damaskos to recuperate.

Aratos Arethousas Syriakes with Arrhenides Cunobelinus as Second in Command have captured the Pontic capitol of Amaseia, thus is Pontic treachery repaid.

Construction: Regional Pacification protocols have been initiated in newly captured Amaseia, and the Provisional Military government is now in place there.

The coast near Side has been successfully cleared. Coastal clearing work has also begun outside of Halikarnassos, and a Game Field is being built in Ipsos.

In the East, a school has been commissioned in Hekatompylos and Simple drainage in Asaak was begun at the beginning of the season, and work did progress quickly enough for it to be completed by the end of this winter.

Internal Affairs: Congratulations are in order for Andromachos Syriakos, who has just married Aga in Persepolis, and for Timarchos A. Mysiakes on the birth of his daghter Ana.

Intelligence: While there is nothing to report in foreign civil affairs, our Military intelligence service has been quite busy. On the Ptolemaic front, agents have observed one Alexandros Thraikikos and his bodyguard heading toward the army besieging Sidon, which is currently led by a Captain Melanthos. Exact numbers are unclear, but as many as 12 standards have been reported. Construction of siege rams has been spotted, 2 are reported by our ops. I suggest that any Strategos near enough to relieve the siege do so, as we may see an assault attempt sooner than later.

Another Ptolemaic force has been spotted marching past the port of Ioudaia, again, exact numbers are unclear, but at least 12 standards are reported. We do know, however, that this force is commanded by one Aretas Rhakoditios. He is accompanied by one Perigenes Bubastites as a second, who travels with a rather large bodyguard force.

On the Northwestern front, we have engaged the services of a Kappadokian named Magas Nabateikon in Amaseia to scout for our Armies. If Aratos Arethousas Syriakes or Arrhenides Cunobelinus wish to attack Sinope with the speed of Zeus' Thunderbolt, they are advised to seek out this man and order him to scout the surrounding area. All necessary permissions are hereby granted, and you may retain his services until Sinope is taken or the chancellor orders otherwise.

The raiding party that was thought to be approaching Ipsos has grown into a full fledged army led by one Hermaios Laodikeios. In addition to the Galatian levies (both spearmen and light swordsmen) reported earlier, Mercenary Thessalian cavalry, Peltastai, Karian locals, and foreign Keltoi swordsmen have taken arms. They have eleven units in all, including their leader's bodyguard. They appear to be defending Ankyra, though they may be able to reach Ipsos in as little as 1 season.

    Basileus' Report

Moved some of my units towards Antiocheia so they could get better weapons and armour.

Moved Apollonides Karikas towards Antiochos' fort. Also moved the Eastern Slinger unit to the fort.

Disbanded the Daha Riders unit in Sidon. There is no way it can be retrained any time soon.

Admiral Leon engaged Ptolemaioi Admiral Naukrates near the port of Sidon. After hard fight Admiral Leon retreated towards Cyprus.

The Benefactor for the MoTH offer is Andromachos Syriakos (Hax).

Default Re: Basileus' and Chancellors Reports

    Chancellors Report Spring/Summer 264:

Military: Raised 1 unit of Prodromoi in Antiocheia for the Basileus' Royal Army.

Strategos Cunobelinus A. Gedrosianos is on his way to Sinope with a small detatchment of the 1st Syrian Army, encamped at the river crossing East of Sinope.

Off the coast of Kypros, the remnants of Admiral Leon's fleet were caught and sunk by the Ptolemaic admiral Naukrates.

Construction: The coast near Halikarnassos was successfully cleared.

Work has begun on a City State festival in Sardis this season. Construction has also begun on a Government Center in Amaseia, we will be governing the city as a Royal Satrapy (Type 2), since leaving them their autonomy did not work out for us.

Internal Affairs: Strategos Panaitolos Ankyrikos has been accepted into the Royal Family, sponsored by Andromachos Syriakos, who, incidentally, is competing in the Olympic Games this season. Let us all wish Andromachos a victory laurel in the upcoming competition, may he bring Honor to the Arche.

We have ended our alliance with the Pahlava of the Northern Steppes due to their aggressive acts toward our fellow Greeks and allies in Baktria.

Reports of "increased grievances" are filtering in from Ekbatana and Antiocheia-Margiane, steps are being taken to prevent this unhappiness from erupting into rioting or worse, probably in the form of temporary tax relief, though no course of action has been taken yet.

Foreign Affairs: The Pahlava have declared war upon our Baktrian allies! Hayasdan has ended its alliance with Baktria, choosing to support the Pahlava instead, we should watch them carefully from now on, lest they catch us unawares when they "do their worst". The Ptolemaioi have somehow convinced our Baktrian allies to sign a cease-fire with them. I only hope that Baktria forced generous and favorable terms from the hated Egyptians.

Intelligence: In the South, the Ptolemaic army led by Aretas Rhakotidios has encamped itself directly south of the port of Sidon, most likely to attempt to besiege the city again. Alexandros Thraikikos, the Ptolemaic general that ambushed Hamaktyon N.Syriakes, has taken refuge in Hierosolyma. I think possibly he fears our increasing Military presence in the area, well, he should be afraid.

In the Northwest, the Pontic army led by Hermaios Laodikeios has entered the town of Ankyra. Their commander has also detatched 6 units from that force under captain Nikonides and sent them to a position NE of Ankyra, about a season's march from the town. We are not exactly sure whether they intend to relieve the upcoming siege of Ankyra or attempt to interfere with Strategos Gedrosianos' plans. The pretender king of Pontos has been located! He is hiding his cowardly tail in Sinope with only his bodyguard.

Our man in the East has discovered the reason for the Baktro-Pahlavan war. A Pahlavan commander named Darman-e-Dahaen is currently besieging the town of Marakanda. I have placed all forces located in the East, currently consisting of the Satrapal Army of Parthava and the Satrapal Army of Persis, on increased alert, lest the steppe raiders set their sights on our lands next.
