My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

Is there some site out there that tracks album releases? It would be nice to check out what albums are about to come out. This genre pushes out so much it's hard to track for me.

How about music, a set of samples technically form first Max Payne?

I grew up with a style of rap called "Bounce," which first developed in New Orleans during the 80s.

    Here's a few examples:

    Ricky B.: Yall Holla!

    M.C. Thick: Marrero

D.J. Jubilee: Get it Ready, Ready! (Live)

    My kingdom for a .

Gangsta rap is the personification and manifestation of a culture in need of education and/or bulldozers. Whatever happened to 80s rap, when the song wasn't just about toking or smacking up your woman of ill repute?

it still exists, my theory is that record execs want to project black people as stupid and ignorant people who only care about money, and will not sign anyone who promotes good hip-hop.

I am most definatley a fan. I prefer not to listen to crappy, mainstream "rap" like soulja boy.

My most listened to rapper is Game, lol he's in my sig if you want to hear a song. I think that he is an amazing lyricist and deserves a place in the HoF of rap "next to snoop, behind pac."

I have heard some stuff from the game that is quite good, i especially like the one (is it an apology or something) i didnt mean to walk away... i meant every word that i said like la la la.... (something like that)

I basically listen to whatever my friends have on, and they are big rap fans, i quite like party stuff as its being called, 50 cent in da club that kind of stuff.... but my favourite music is the stuff with a real message and real meaning to the words... I T is a legend but as far as songs with a meaning go imo you'll be hard pressed to beat this

That was a good sone you put on there. As far as message it was great, but I like mine with substance AND "raw"ness. But again good song.

And yeah T.I. is a record beast, hes had the top spot on billboard for like 5 months with Whateva you like, and now hes gonna have it for another 3 months with Live your life...crazy.

If you want good rap songs just check my sig, i'm starting to put in some of my favorite songs.

And the song with Game and Busta Rhymes is called "The Docter's Advocate". He appologizing to Dre because of what he said in the song "Da S t" which is another story.

"It's still Aftermath and ain't nuthin' after that"

I fear I listen to too much music

I listen to some rap/hiphop myself, but I'm no great fan. What I do loath, is all that drug-and-sex-oriented afroamerican rap. I prefer rap with some meaning, if you get me.

Alright I'm back, with some music.

    [Completely inappropriate music video—Lemur]

2009 looks good, I'm mostly looking at what Dr. Dre has been producing. Marshall has been producing. Busta has good producers on his coming album. Same goes for Curtis "the police" Jackson's to be released album. Hoping for some new fat beats and good hooks. So, producers, DJ's hurry up!
