    saved games

    sorry i wasn't clear before but the problem still persists
    Ive even tried "attacking" the besieging army in the previous turn but no luck. {on battlefield and with auto_win both}.
    i wonder if it has anything to do with the family member who's leading the Egyptian army.cause it dint Crash when i auto resolved it and was defeated .

    because on previous occasion i have also encountered ctds particularly while fighting on island

    {but they were assault button ctds }
    1 while eliminating/besieging Greeks at Rhodes {after persistent ctds i gave up and used forced diplomacy}
    2 while attacking/besieging Macedonians on island near pergaumon {the one next to Asia minor {sorry don't remember the name }

    btw OT this might be helpful .
    i was also facing c++ run time error few turns back {as some other users are facing}
    but i managed to solved it .i believe it had nothing to do with the java or os or any 3rd party software
    one of the reason i found that is when ai captures another ai settlement and tries to build its own government system while the previous government system isn't completed destroyed the game crashes at "its" turn .i managed to solve it by using toggle_fow and force diplomacy mod.
    Hardly java causing those. C++ is entirely independent of Java, they don't use eachother. Actually they are "rival" programming languages that are quite similar but not identical in syntax. It's usually a matter of video- or, less often, sound drivers.

    I've also noticed that the AI sometimes can create a new government building if there are two or more of them in the settlement, which can easily happen if many AI factions have controlled it, and I've also noticed that the game may crash if the player attempts to repair one of them where there are more than one. Force Diplomacy is indeed a good way to get around those.

    I don't think the governments are causing this problem though. It could be related to the Egyptian family member, yes, he could be a clone. You could try to teleport him to a remote island and see if that gets you past the problem. If not, you probably have more problems stacked on top of eachother. You could also try to attack the army with a single unit to verify that it's the enemy that is the problem and not your guys.

    I do NOT answer PM requests for help with EB. Ask in a new help thread in the tech help forum.
