I have been doing a lot of tactics training, endgame studies, opening studies, and reading books by Yasser Seriawan and Josh Waitzkin. My big thick book is the Complete Chess course by Fred Reinfeld. Yasser's book teaches space, tactics, and pawn structure really well, and Josh is like the undisputed master of attacking.

I used to be very, very good at this game but I've gotten rusty over the years of not playing. I didn't play in school because no one wanted to play against me. Playing so many opponents recently and studying several hours each day has improved the game.

I'll even say it: My big weakness is playing as Black. I've studied White's game so much, that I am way out of my element when I am playing as the Black pieces. Too defensive, not enough attacking.

Why did the chicken cross the road?

So that its subjects will view it with admiration, as a chicken which has the daring and courage to boldly cross the road,
but also with fear, for whom among them has the strength to contend with such a paragon of avian virtue? In such a manner is the princely
    chicken's dominion maintained. ~Machiavelli

First and second games with woad&fangs concluded. 2-0 Askthepizzaguy.

I offered woad&fangs a third game, because he did not know how to castle using chess.com's interface.
