Thread: Modding Campaign speed and UI

Default Modding Campaign speed and UI

Is it possible to make the campaign advance in one year increments rather than in half years? So, for example, summer year 1 then summer year 2 etc. rather than summer year 1, winter year 1, summer year 2 etc.

Also, which file do I need to change to alter the faction symbol which appears in the bottom right hand corner of the campaign user interface?

    Thanks

Yes, you can use scripting to change the number of turns per year. However, with just 1 turn per year and no season change, your characters won't age. It affects the economy, too, so if you decide to go ahead with it, you'd probably also want to take a look at unit & building recruitment/construction/maintanence costs and time, etc.

If instead I had something along the lines of summer year 1, winter year 2, summer year 3, would people age? If they did, would it end up being half a year every year, or would it work out correctly?

They age during each transition from winter to summer, so they'd live twice as long with that system.

I assume that I wouldn't be able to script it so that people age twice as quickly then

    Nope, scripts can't affect age.
