Deleted Posts - Disgusting

I had a rather lengthy exchange yesterday on these forums regarding whether or not offensive warfare ALWAYS is more effective than defensive warfare.

It was on topic, I cited several wars and battles - you had a poster who cursed at me, insulted me, strayed off topic, yet I did not.

I had several wikipedia sources up there, discussed Stalingrad etc. Where did they go?

I have not received a warning point, a pm, anything.

Is this how this works around here now? If you make someone who is a moderator's friend looks bad in a discussion, your posts are deleted no matter how relevant they are ?

I'd like an explanation on this. I do not find pm appropriate for this query due to the fact that I have not received any pm's regardingt his, nor is there any reason given anywhere for any of the posts being removed.

Someone explain this - this community is dead if this is how things are handled.

I mean honestly guys - this is embarrassing to even witness. You can't debate me so you just try to hide my examples of making fools out of you away?

Re: deleted posts, these were fully off topic and would have belonged to the Monastery if anywhere, rather than the Citadel. However, due to the number of baits, flames and attacks contained in these posts, they were removed instead.

I also believe that it is incorrect that the poster was flaming you first. According to a PM I received, you had attacked them in private first, and they informed you in the topic that they would no longer debate with you.

1) He started the discussion about historical terms and the attacker always having the advantage in a battle or war.

2) I responded, listing several examples of the defender beating the attacker historically. I cited several sources.

3) He started flaming me, bringing the contents of pm's into threads (which is entirely against the TOS here and was totally off topic).

4) He discussed having sex with his girlfriend. Off topic.

5) He stated he does not care about my posts nor read them, after engaging in a 10 post exchange debating the topic at hand.

6) Several others wrote posts agreeing with my position. You deleted these posts as well.

Bottom line? I made your buddy Kadagar look bad on the forums so you deleted all traces of the conversation existing.

It is, as I have said, disgusting. I've always respected you as a moderator around here, but as of today- I just regard you as another troll. You're in this to protect the reputation of your e-friends. I've just proven it.

You never touched that conversation until I proved Kadagar flat out wrong and others agreed with me. You found it to be entirely on topic until that occurred. Please, grow up.

Now, looking through what you have posted, most of it deserves to be deleted. Every one of your posts (AFAIK) (apart froma few that I saw yesterday, with wiki links) have been either off-topic or a personal attack. Your signature is yet another personal attack, that is, surprisingly incorrect.

All you seem to do is spam, you flamebait, you flame, you personally attack other members. In addition the content and posting style of your posts has been brought to the attention of the local moderators by many people, and to the admin (TosaInu) by multiple people as well.

FH does not need a reason to edit or delete your posts. (as per the other thread, and the Guild Rules) You may, as you have, appeal against it, but you not only did in the wrong forum, you are making yet more personal jabs, and bringing up matters which have nothing to do with you. Yes, Khadgar used inappropriate language, and I reported every post of it that I saw, in case a mod had missed it. If they remove or not is up to them, they have jobs themselves.

This has been going on to some extent for almost 3 days now. You are actually the sixth or seventh person I believe to send me a private message regarding him. I don't know if you've seen some of his more offensive posts, but they are out there.

I did in fact try to ignore him, and that lasted about 24 hours but he was still coming up with stalker-ish type threads devoted to his hatred towards me, for what I cannot imagine. The last thing I said to him before this all started was literally "I'm serious, I like your signature line logo. It's pretty cool."

I can't fathom what set him off but he's been on an ATPG-hate tirade for days now. I did the whole ignore him thing, but since it was everywhere and it was getting out of hand, and everyone else in the org had basically responded to his nonsense, I finally decided to, in the nicest way I knew how, deliberately and carefully deconstruct his hypocritical and sanctimonious, ad hominem arguments and calmly suggest he take his whinings elsewhere.

Hardly appropriate topic of conversation for a sub-forum dedicated to M2TW. Also trying to incite that FH is being racist.

Now let me say AoW, you do have some nice posts, you have occasionally been helpful to some members, but I'm asking you as a fellow member, stop posting in the Citadel for a while, and stop posting about blitzing and ATPG in total.

From my perspective you posted quite a number of times in which you contributed to the topic but also chose to weave in baiting and personal attacks. Even now when seeking to explain your actions you follow up with a personal insult.

While it might not be the most vile thing one could say it still implies that who you are speaking to is a child, one who cannot think for themselves and in some interpretations something that implies who you speak to is stupid.

As for your other topic, it's not surprising that the posts were removed. The discussion was (again, from my perspective) trailing off topic, we have a forum that is set aside to discus historical subjects, such as the term Blitzkrieg and whether defensive wars are viable. The Monastery provides a place for people to debate, The Citadel however is a place for discussion solely based upon M2 and it's gameplay/issues.

Just my two cents.

AristofWarfare, I would seriously recommend you reading pevergreen's first post in this thread a couple of times over.

It's a game and is supposed to be fun. From the looks of it, republicans and democrats will make up and start hugging each other before the "debate" in the Citadel is truly resolved so why don't just stop it or just keep it within PMs?

Also, btw, the Org is easily the best forum community I have been part of here. The moderators are much better than what I have seen on other forums where you would've been banned a dozen times by now.

It's happend to me several time on online forums. I've posted angrily, but it's usually not worth getting your own blood pressure in a bad way. Just let it go, even if things were unjust. As I've said my views get me into a LOT of trouble, especially when debating World War II and my viewpoints of the Germans (no, I'm no Nazi...)

Typically, a "heated" argument involving off topic discussion, insults, and language are deleted in their entirety. I don't know if this is the case, however.
