Lorica Segmantata. Only in custom battle?

there is no historical inacuracy in including it in the custom battles.

When playing a custom battle it dont has before 14ad. One of the things i love the most about EB is the historical accuracy in the units. It gives me a good feeling when playing a battle.

but the romans did use lorica segmantata. even though it is not in the time frame of eb, why cant it be used in custom battles? I cant see anything negative about that.

Many people like the gameplay in eb so much that they play only this mod. If you include the armour many people would be glad and many people will play this mod. it is not historical inacurate to have it in custom battles.

It would require a unit slot, or at least would require modellers and skinners to work on something that we don't even want in the game. If you want it find someone else who does and who can model and skin, or learn yourself. We are not going to waste our time on a piece of armour because people have a certain perception of the romans and wish to be vindicated in that perception. We don't cater to lazy people, and people who want to see something because that is how they've always seen something is a class of laziness. Open your eyes and be happy with what was really there, not what you think was cool.

Are you against having the armour in the game, or you just havent time to make it? If so, i very much understand that. myself i dont know much about modding, but if i get to make the model, will you use it? i have a friend who can.

Every time i play i am happy with what is there. I really am. I love your mod very much. And i have never missed the lorica segmantata armour while playing. But what i want, and i know it is not only me, is to set up a battle with romans and they look like legionaries the ones who are pictured in the books. Even though it is not in the EB time.

But dont misunderstand me. When i am suggesting things it is not becouse i dont like your mod, it is maybe becouse i love it so much and i keep thinking about it. i think you should think about that as a very good thing and i am being negative.

Personally I hate lorica segmentata. Makes the romans look like American Football players. However that is not the issue. To have them playable in a custom battle we would need to waste a unit slot. That is just not going to happen. We aren't going to waste valuable resources on a unit that would only ever exist in custom battles and shouldn't even exist in our timeframe. Thats like someone asking us to make early sassanid units just because they like them. Its not going to happen and they certainly won't appear in any release of EBII.

However people will make submods for EBII and no doubt lorica segmentata will appear in one of them, if so you can just download that and there won't be any difference.

okay thanks for answer. I understand now, and i also think the american footballplayer-compare was good. but that is when they are dressed red, and have no pants and very big shoulders. but you made me realise it was probably not the armour itself, but probably the IG helmet, was what i was thinking about. I diddnt know the monterfortino helmet witch appear in the mod had a tassel.

I understand you well that you cant waste a slot and time to make. And i really am very exited about eb 2 anyway, you should know that. i love this mod.
