I just ate 4 pieces with hot beef chili and melted cheddar cheese.

Butter. Applied when fresh and hot, so it all melts into the toast. Delicious.

Vegemite is great on toast. Failing that, golden syrup is great.

Oh wait! If we are including things that aren't spreads, then Baked Beans are good. Cheese is as well. Better yet: Toast + Cheese + Baked Beans...

I'll betray my working class roots here. Beans. yummy.

Philadelphia spread, with a sprinkling of cayenne pepper, with slices of cheddar on top, done under the grill for five to ten minutes. Gorgeous.

Failing that, you can't go wrong with scrambled eggs.

Anything (other than vegemite). Baked beans are good, cheese and paprika, eggs - scrambled or fried, butter, honey. Nutella is really nice on thick toast.

Also baked beans are nice on toast, as long as you keep them seperate so the toast doesn't get soggy. Not that I'm fussy.

Another one I like is melted stilton and fresh birdseye chillis. I love chillis me.

An over easy egg. However, I tend to be on budget lately, so a small amount of butter will suffice.
