Day Four

Morbo the human-hating alien, host of the tele-broadcast "Morbo", and Kif Kroker, the amphibious humanoid serving under Zapp Brannigan, were tied for votes. The humans had apparently decided that they couldn't trust anyone but humans, in defense of all mankind.

Professor Farnsworth warned everyone about the dangerous of a double-lynch, but the DOOP committee seemed indecisive and nobody seemed to want to change their votes. Out of the eight remaining life forms, 2 would be rendered inactive by this vote, and at least one would die from the actions of the murderous Omicron Agent tonight, plus a possible vigilante killing. If all of these went disastrously for town, that would leave 4 left, plus the possible full might of the Omicronians, 2 to be precise.

And the mysterious third party was still alive, so much hung in the balance.

Suddenly, Zapp Brannigan boldly stood up and said that he would change his vote, thus sparing town from a possibly disastrous ending. Professor Farnsworth smiled and saw the wisdom in his decision, and was surprised and delighted by the unusually clever action by Zapp, notorious for his reckless behavior as the captain of the DOOP flagship.

Farnsworth nodded and said that it was done.

Morbo was promptly arrested and brain-slugged, unable to continue resisting or aiding the Democratic Order of Planets.

Yeah, like a dummy I brain-slugged the wrong person. It took a few seconds, but I corrected it.

Just to give town a chance, I would like to say there are 2 Omicron-aligned players left, and the third party is still alive. That leaves just 4 townies, one of which is likely to die tonight, possibly more.

Those of you with special abilities should probably use them, because by the next night, it may be too late.

The climactic finish of Futurama begins day 5... everyone should tune in and put their thinking caps on...

Night Four

A solemn figure approaches the balcony of DOOP headquarters, and takes aim with his stun weapon... aiming directly at Kif Kroker. However, another figure approaches from the shadows, wearing almost nothing and winking seductively. The figure on the balcony drops his weapon and almost cracks a smile, as he is led away...

Meanwhile, Kif Kroker looks up at the balcony and is very sad to see the other figure being led away, and gasps audibly. However, he also notices that another figure is standing behind him.

The vigilante attempts to snap Kroker's neck, however he doesn't have any bones whatsoever. His body is supported by a system of fluid-filled bladders. kif Kroker pleads with his attacker not to kill him, that he's never done anyone any wrong, and that he's desperately trying to find the real killer.

It doesn't matter however, because the attacker is relentless and certain. Kroker slips out of the stranglehold and leaps to the ceiling, and begins to crawl away as quickly as possible. However, the vigilante reaches for the phaser, pulls it out and sets it to maximum.

Kif Kroker was almost vaporized, but then Hypnotoad remembered that Kif Kroker was immune to vigilante killings as per his role PM and then smacked his head against a wall repeatedly...

Phillip J. Fry is sitting in his chair, eagerly scarfing pizza, drinking beer, and enjoying his last moments on Earth. Suddenly, from behind him, he hears shuffling footsteps.

He turns to see a familiar face. Too stupid to realize his death is imminent, he muffles a salutation to the figure, but cannot speak as his mouth is full. The Omicron Agent pulls out a small device, and pushes a button. A beaming energy sword flashes into existence.

Fry gulps down the last of his food. "Awesome! A real lightsaber! I always wanted one of those!" He reaches for it.

The Omicron Agent lops off his hand.

"Ow! That hurt! You'd better pay for that hand, it cost me a hundred DOOP credits! Plus several more just to reattach it." Fry said, as he poked his finger against the agent's chest.

The Omicron Agent lops off Fry's other hand.

Fry: "Hey! What are you trying to do, wise guy! I guess I could have been clearer. Don't slice off any more of my hands!"

The Omicron Agent lops off Fry's left foot.

Fry: "Owwww! Listen, if you don't stop slicing off my appendages, I am going to get really mad. Someone help me! Anyone, please help me!"

The Omicron Agent lops off Fry's other foot.

Fry: "All right, what do you say we call it a draw? You may have won this round, but I clearly have the superior intellect. I've got you completely surrounded. There's limbs on all sides of you!"

The Omicron Agent took the lightsaber and prepared to slice off Fry's head, and sighed at the prospect of doing so.

Fry: "It looks like this is it. I have one final request. I want to tell Leela that I love her... could you tell her for me?"

The Omicron Agent nodded, and began to shed several tears. The agent clearly did not want to do this... but seemed to have no choice. The lightsaber swung through the air with a whoosh...

I don't think the mafia is Leela, because the write-up says Fry recognized who it was that killed him, and he doesn't usually refer to people in the third person. On the other hand, either Kif or Morbo was mafia, as there was only one mafia kill this time.

(After re-reading everything, I'm going to continue in a more informed fashion from now on).

Perhaps the agent is indeed Leela - if you think about it, if I was going to be attacked by my lover, and if they were somehow hiding their face, I wouldn't know it was them and so probably would say "tell x I love them". The way the agent behaved somehow makes me think they were being controlled by some host or other and lacked concious thought? Just randomly speculating, but anyhow.

Now, if you don't mind me asking, who, in user name terms, is Leela?
