help! It won't go into Europa Barbarorum!

I click the EU icon, and it just goes into the normal RTW!!!!!!!!

i even put it in the same folder!!!!

OK, i think it's installed properly now, but as sson as i go into single, or multiplayer exe, it does a `crash to desktop', straight away!!!!!

Sorry to hijack this but I have run into the exact same problem.
To make the validation tool work I had to run it from its location,it didn't work properly from the shortcut.
This is what I was left with:-

You seem to have a corrupt install. There are changes to files, or some are missing.
However, these may be conscious changes you have made, to remod EB. See below for details.

I added the "-mod:eb" bit to the end of the shortcut target to make the mod run, but it freezes at the load screen, and takes aaaaaaages to ctrl/alt/del close..

I downloaded the patch_1.pak thingy and put it in both the data/pack folders and it made my pc crash even worse,had to reboot.
I'm running XP, and put EB on after a fresh install of RTW 1.5 at /C.

I added the "-mod:eb" bit to the end of the shortcut target to make the mod run, but it freezes at the load screen, and takes aaaaaaages to ctrl/alt/del close..

Wait longer till you CTRL+ALT+DEL. How long exactly have you waited? First time loads can take up to ten minutes.

Hehe! I waited.. made a sandwich and a cup o' tea and it worked fine - great game, nice sandwich :)
