    Default # Of Playable Factions?

Hey Org...my last question after firing up M2 for the first time in a long while:

I have edited my preference.cfg file to unlock all factions in the grand campaign. I can now choose from 17 total factions when I load up a campaign.

Is this accurate? 17 is the maximum amount of playable factions when they're all unlocked?

    thanks

Yes, there are only 17 playable faction available.

    They are:
    Kingdom of England
    Kingdom of France
    The Holy Roman Empire
    Republic of Venice
    Kingdom of Spain
    Byzantine Empire
    Kingdom of Denmark
    Egyptian Sultanate
    Kingdom of Hungary
    Duchy of Milan
    Almoravid Moors
    Kingdom of Poland
    Kingdom of Portugal
    Republic of Novgorod aka. Russia
    Kingdom of Scoltand
    Kingdom of Sicily
    Selijuk Turks

Unplayable factions (although playable with a few tweaks):
    Papal States
    Timurid
    Anglo-Saxons
    Aztec
    Mongols

The Papal States work perfectly normal when I play as them and all I did was the usual moving them under playable.

The Papal States have some awesome unique units, although it just doesn't feel right when playing as them, it feels exactly like taking control of SPQR in Rome, plus you don't get to send missions.

Yeah your right there, the SPQR and the Papacy don't feel complete. I tried playing as the Mongols to see what would happen and it started on the HRE's turn and stayed there.

I heard it's possible to install a script where an adviser would appear and if you clicked on the show me how button it would give your faction to the AI and let the AI take turns until for example the Mongols emerge and then it would let you play them, anyone know how to do that?

You can start a HotSeat game and then give your faction to the AI and take control over Mongols or Timurids but it would take a LONG time before they arrive!

    How about a mod?

I'm sure FactionHeir has your answer to that.
