This kind of nostalgia, plus the dearth of any good deep games, is the reason I keep popping old game after old game into my CD drive. Happens to me all the time. In fact, almost no new games have gripped me for over a year, easily. I pretty much just cycle through old games these days based upon what wave of nostalgia hit me this month.

Exact same here. I also go through such cycles. For instance, for the last year I have been playing Europa Barbarorum but since I began watching PrinceofMacedon's MP battles on YouTube, I have gotten this strange feeling for RTW again. I mean, EB is waaaay better and yet somehow I feel the need to play the good ol', historically inaccurate RTW lately. What are your favorite games? If you visit my profile it will say there.

I am playing RTW 1.0 (the patches give me an error, dont want to download them again) as Schytia, and I am in south Italy. Oh yeah. Schytia kick balls with HA.

I basically can categorise my life by what game I was playing at certain times and I have nostalgic feelings for each era. I've been playing RTW again recently, amassing several Carthaginian uber-stacks right now.
