    Question Halfsize Triarii units

    Hi,

    sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything with search.

    I've just got Polybian reforms in my current campaign and thought about making the triarii units halfsized(80 instead of 160). So I went to export_descr_unit and halved the unit size, cost and upkeep of the polybian triarii. Then saved and started up the game. Nothing happened, Triarii are still 162 units strong and cost 1524 to train. I then exited and went back to export_descr_unit and the unit size/cost was back to normal(40 and 1524 respectively), even though I had saved the file after making the changes.

    I thought changes in export_descr_unit were possible mid-game.

    So do I have to start a new campaign for the changes to take effect or did I just do something wrong?

    you need to change the values in the edu that you can find in the sp_edu folder in the base EB folder. This is because the Trivial script which you use to start the game uses that one for its information.

    And if you're using the TrivialScript, makes sure you change the one in the sp edu backup folder, not the one in \Data, or it'll just keep being overwritten.
