Playing more mods

I was wondering if I could play more mods of rome total war without damaging thi one. Even if this is the best mod Ive ever played there are some interesting ones out there.(I want to play the lord of the rings one )

If they exist as fully mod foldered (ie do not change the vanilla data files) then it is entirely possible to have any number of mods. However if you are not sure the safest option is to copy the Rome Total War folder elswhere and install the new mod to the new copy of Rome Total War.
