Changing player faction

Hey i'm wondering if it is possible to change what faction the player is using half way through a campaign. What I want to do more specifically is change from Seleucid with whom i'm steamrolling the world and its getting boring to the Arverni who are holding on for dear life (yes i'm crazy).

So is it possible or am I dreaming?

I believe it is possible, but I have no idea what console command to use or just how to do it in general. I bet Foot would probably know. Maybe you could send him a message if he doesn't already answer this thread.

Open the generic script in your EB/data/scripts/show_me/ folder, and add a line between "command_console toggle_perfect_spy" and "end_script":

command_console control <faction>

Then start the game as normal, go into your campaign, press F1 (which goes to the help menu), then click the questionmark and then click the show me how button.

I can't get it to work, this is what I have got right now:

I tried putting <> around gauls and deleting perfect spy but no luck, the show me how button is greyed out. What did I miss?

I think it's just gaul, rather than gauls

If you want the Arverni its scythia you need to put in.

Also, it won't help you none, as you won't be able to build your best governments, as the gov markers are setup for the seleucid government system not your own. You'll only be able to build type IIIs and type IVs till you reach asia minor.
