    Default Ptolemaioi and Pahlavån-i Grivpånvar

How do I make the Pahlavan Late Cataphracts, the Grivpånvar, recruitable by the Ptolemaioi? I know that I've got to edit something in the export_descr_buildings, but what? I want them recruitable in Alexandreia and/or every home province, but Alexandreia is enough. They should be able to be recruited as soon as I've constructed a Royal Barracks.

How do I do this? I've tried following post #4, but descr_model_battle won't find anything on ''griv''.

Paper is deadly in the hands of a skilled player, but Rock is clearly OP.
    Signed, Scissors.

That's so wrong, Rock is working as intended but everyone knows Scissors is WAY too good.
    Signed, Paper.

Wow, neither of you have a clue about the game. Scissors is fine but Paper is extremely imbalanced and needs nerfing asap!
    Signed, Rock.

Not all units go by the same name internally as they do in game. Some have had their names changed over the EB versions and some simply have generic name, such as "eastern cavalry elite cataphracts" or some such name. You could look in the ...\EB\Data\Text\descr_units.txt for "griv" and it should have the internal name next to it.

As for recruitment, that is much more complicated. It helps if there is a unit that shares the same recruitment you want.

The unit name, used for spawning the unit in-game, is "steppe cavalry grivpanvar" if you wish to spawn them instead. It may help you for modding.

    What's the reasoning behind it??

Besides giving the ptollies heavy cavalry ;)
I love the smell of bronze in the morning!

    Thanks, I've found them :)

Yeah I've noticed that, unfortunately... still clueless...

Good to know if I can't be bothered recruiting them.

I can't figure out whether I want to play Ptolemaioi or Pahlava, and I love the voice set for Grivpånvar, their name and their sprites. I really can't resist them. So I figured I'd add them, for an evil army of Bush Elephants, Grivpånvar, Galatian Swordsmen, Cretan Archers and other stuff to serve as the bulk of the army. I'd then make a second army to support it, which would only have the ''traditional'' Egyptian units in it, and make an AAR.
