    Default Epic Music

List all the epic music you know of. Perhaps a comprehensive compilation can be created.

    Ok, so far we have:

    Globus - Preliator
    1812 Overture
    Battlefield 1942 music
    Baldur Gate II Main Theme
    Vagelis - Light and Shadow
    Ennio Morricone music
    Matrix- Neodammerung
When Johnny Comes Marching Home (Roman march, perhaps?)
    Deus Ex Orchestral Theme
    Ride of the Valkyries
The Last Samurai - Red Warrior
    O Verona
Conan OST - Riddle of Steel
    300 - Returns a King
    Star Wars - Throne Room
    Star Wars - Victory Celebration
Star Wars - Imperial March Rage Mix
Star Wars - Battle of the Heroes
Star Wars- Duel of the Fates
    LOTR Soundtrack
    Escape - Craig Armstrong
Sins of A solar Empire Main Theme
    Gettysburg soundtrack
    Gladiator soundtrack, specifically "The Battle"
Lux Aeterna/Requiem for a Dream remix/Requiem for A Tower Remix
    Music from this video
    Music from this video
    Music from this video
    Megalith - Agnus Dei
Some vanilla RTW songs(check the sound folder, or music folder, or whatever it is)
    Some vanilla MT2W songs
    RA2 - Hell March 2
    Relentless Power/Feats of Endurance
    Turisias - Battle Metal
    Rhapdosy - Emerald Sword
    Rhaspody - Dawn of Victory
Man'o'War - Warriors of the World
    Carmina Burana- O Fortuna
    ES Posthumus - Pompeii
    Popcorn
    Halo 1-3 Soundtracks
Red Army Choir - The Sacred War
    Transformers - Autobots Descend
    Jerry Goldsmith - Klingon Battle

Is it me, or does most "epic" music have a heavy vocal aspect?

    Thumbs up Re: Epic Music

Lol, good one, Nobo. Although not making good battle songs, the music from the credits of RTW and M2TW are pretty cool.

    How about this?

And this - perfect for battles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDVxxQRSc_k

And I'm not sure about Engel and Dragonheads, that cowboy movie song, or that WoW song. Opinions, plz?

Red Alert 2 music is probably more cheesy than epic, although that 1 track is pretty good. Hell March 2, was it?

Any links to that 40-minute Dream Theater piece?

    Added a few things.

Do you have any specific tracks in mind, Reno?

And it isn't that I don't like metal, RaGe, it's just that I didn't really see the songs as "epic".
How about we define "epic" as something you would use in an EB video?

"Epic" IS Ennio Morricone. That, and fantastically beautiful.

Not Morricone, mind you, the music.
