Default How do I go about this..

    Hello everyone,

After a 2 year absense from RTW I have returned in full force much to the dismay of my fiance. I have waited a long time to play EB and currently have RTR installed. Do I need to unistall everything and then reinstall in order to makes things work? or can I just install EB over RTR?

The second question I have is in regaurds to PC performance, I have heard several people cannot run the mod and I was wondering what exsactly does it take? I have a 2.00 dual core with 4GB of ddr2 memory and a 9200M GS Nividia graphic card with 256MB of dedicated memory. Will that be enough?

Thanyou once again and I look forward to Total war taking over my life once more.

    Welcome back!

Your PC is more than good enough to play EB, even if you have vista...

I think you shold install EB on a clear v1.5 install of RTW, but I'm not sure.

It is best to install EB on a clean RTW 1.5 install. Some versions of RTR are entirely mod-foldered (ie have not changed vanilla data files) and EB can be run on the same RTW install if this is the case with your version of RTR. However if you are not sure about what version of RTR you have and if it is modfoldered I would suggest uninstalling both RTR and RTW and starting from scratch.

you problem is not a technical one, but i guess as long as I don't see you or your fiance in the Oprah Winfrey Show...you'll be fine.

    Have fun in playing EB!

Many mods use different versions. I think RTR gold is 1.2, so no. Don't. Reinstall. It can be a royal pain if you want to play a different mod sometimes (I must have reinstalled ~10+ times now). Better than screwing over your RTW install or possibly not being able to install it again (I've heard of that happening, although only rarely)

EB rules, you won't regret it. My only main problems with it are the bugs/crashes and to a smaller extent the lag. Other suggestion: VH is VH, Medium will often be enough of a challenge for many players

If you make a copy of the clean 1.5 RTW installation, you never have to reinstall from scratch again. Just make another copy.

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.
