Movie: East of Byzantium

This movie is about The Armenian Persian wars of the mid 5th century AD focusing on the Battle of Avarayr. It is still under production. Written and Directed by Roger Kupelian (one of the lead artists on the effects for the Lord of the Rings Trilogy

It looks pretty historicaly accurate judging from the costumes and armors except for the part that this movie is going the Make the Mamigonian Noble Family decendants of a Chinese prince. In the historic accounts it notes that the founder of the Mamigonians were from Western China and were Tocharian stated as Tocharistan (from Tochar) This would not make them Chinese. I guess Hollywood likes to put faulsy twists to make things intresting.
