What America do you live in? All we ever did was start suspending kids for play acting like their hand was a gun, or bringing nail clippers to school in their backpack. Meh, I was about that age when I learned that it may make sense to warn someone who gets on my nerves before beating the **** out of him and I would lie if I'd call myself a serial killer nowadays so maybe there's still hope for that boy.
