And over here, you have Sparta. Sparta is famous for its lack of madness and its lack of dressed men.

I think Sparta is pronounced Spartee in modern greek because the last letter is eta and not alpha (Σπάρτη). I know a few people from sparta because my uni is really international and theres a load of SSSEEEEEEEEEXXXXXXYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY greeks around. (I mean the girls by the way although some of the blokes u can tell are rather handsome)
And I think it is 'C'est Spártê.' That is three words. Its similar to saying 'that's Sparta' as in that is 'that is sparta.' C'est Spártê is probably the most effective phrase for replacing the line from 300. I do speak french but I do make mistakes. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone.
So Keravnos- has the name changed from sparta to spartee in greek since the classical period?
"The city of Sparta (Doric Σπάρτα; Attic Σπάρτη Spartē) was a city-state in ancient Greece, situated on the River Eurotas in the southern part of the Peloponnese." Wikipedia.

Yes it has changed.
In Doric greek, in many cases the A would replace the H of the Ionian/Attic. Modern Greek is basically a continuation of Attic greek, so Sparta became Sparte.
