Thread: low movement of all faction members

Default low movement of all faction members

    Hello,

I started a Qarthadast campaign on 1.1 and only got in about 10 years when all my faction, including captains, family members and ships - but excluding spies/diplomats etc - got their movement reduced by about 25%. I have the script running the whole time and, no, its not winter or summer or a problem due to any traits - its every single family member/captain all the time. Is this a known issue and if so I would be very grateful if someone could let me know the fix?

    Thanks in advance.

Are you sure it's not just a matter of being in the desert? While there is a possibility of an error with traits for generals, captains should never be affected by any movement traits or script.

But you may have had a flood, perhaps? That usually permanently bugs the movement in that province, and it's a vanilla RTW bug. You may be able to correct it by starting the game, then alt-tabbing out to delete or rename EB/data/world/maps/base/map.rwm, and finally loading your campaign. If this doesn't help, and it's only reported to work in a few cases, there is nothing you can do except playing on with reduced movement in that province or start a new campaign.

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

    Thanks Bovi for the reply.

Sadly its not just one province, but actually seems to be everywhere on the map (inc Iberia, Sicily etc so it aint the desert), even including the sea.

However, Ive decided to start a new campaign anyway cos the Qarthadast have it a bit too easy for my liking :) so dont worry about finding a solution.

    All the best.
