Vassal probably isn't the right word. Poland governs itself and is more of a protectorate. Or at least that's my impression. I think of it like the Poland-Lithuania empire except Russia is the senior partner.

I feel a great grief for this noble gentleman. We were indeed opponents in life but when facing the eternity such conflicts are meaningless. The Austrian ambassador in London will react accordingly and send the British the condolensces of the Austrian Kaiser and his Chancellor.
