Gah! Metternich is stuck in problems explaining his wife Antonie the necessity of being more careful with money. And yes, waiting for info as well.

P.S. And yes, some real life issues.

You're controlling France, right? Since when has that ever stopped the French?

    (or any nation, really)

Remember: Russia is ALWAYS willing to negotiate.

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

I'm thinking of making a map of the game using EU 2. Does anyone have enough detailed information for me to build a providence-based map?

I feel a great grief for this noble gentleman. We were indeed opponents in life but when facing the eternity such conflicts are meaningless. The Austrian ambassador in London will react accordingly and send the British the condolensces of the Austrian Kaiser and his Chancellor.

Hopefully not: George Canning (11 April 1770 – 8 August 1827) was a British statesman and politician who served as Foreign Secretary and briefly Prime Minister.

The Austrian Kaiser is sadden by the news of Canning's death. I second the statement of my Chancellor. We may not always have agreed, but he was adore by his nation and we hope he is in peace now.

I know it's Friday night for most of you but I'd like to know who's interested in an EU2 generated map of the game. I'd need to know what provinces each nation controls that doesn't correspond with history.

Warman: I also need a reply to my PMs when you have time. I'd like to give Franc as much time as possible.

    Thanks.

Ewww. I've seen too many pictures of her to think this "influence" could ever be pleasurable.

9th is good for me. Let's hope my country doesn't fall apart.

Speech of the King of French in Parliament after his first year as King,

Citizens of France! I am glad to see that our new government has taken successful steps in order for both the Kingdom of France and its citizens to prevail from the troubled times we live in.

Our new government has seized the initiative and while we are severely lacking funds. Major new programs have started and some already concluded successfully.A major land reform has been successfully concluded. Wast tracks of lands that laid waste after the great wars are now in use. Veterans of our glorius armies and citizens that had previosly lost their means to support their families have now been given land by the government, which is being put on good use. Our foreign policies have secured us continuos flow of cheap raw materials we didnt have access after we had lost our colonies and trade fleet. Great cities of France that lay in rubble are now being rebuilt, while the severely damaged infrastructure of our Nation is being repaired.

We have a new army. Army made of citzens to protect the citizens of our country. We have moved on from hiring foreign mercenaries and today it is French men that are protecting France.

All these achievements are fruits from the labour of united citizenry. But as your King i will not lie to you or paint you a picture that is different from the truth. The scale of turmoil and devastation we have witnessed is almost beyond comprehension. We need more then 100 million Thalers to repair our country. While our annual budget which is mostly spent on annual upkeeps of several institutions to insure public safety and government to function is hardly enough to even start the huge work we have. Because of this as your King i plead to all my fellow French men. Right now if you have any capability small or great.Buy the national bonds released by the government this year. We cant promise you huge profits, but that is not the point of them in any case. The point is to help each other, as who else will help us, if we dont help ourselves? More you buy, sooner our Nation can repair the wounds inflicted to us. I am personally going to use half of my own monetary assets to buy these bonds, so that a fisherman in La Rochelle can continue his trade. So merchant in Marseilles can put food on his familys table. So that the orphans in Toulon wont starve to death shivering in the rain, under the open sky. This is the time to make a stand. This is time to show the world what the French are made off!

It appears I was a little zealous in suggesting Melbourne - we will not have the pleasure of his company for a few years yet. After consulting Wiki I have decided to skip the next PM who was only in for a few months and go straight to The Iron Duke himself - gentlemen of the Concert - please welcome Sir Arthur Wellsely, better known as
    The Duke of Wellington.

Do you prefer summaries of PM discussions or the entire thread? I'm trying to reduce the clutter but would like to know what you prefer.
