    ok so the longer two guys go at it...the factors increase until one of them dies, this is to prevent the immortal king syndrome unless i am mistaken.

    how will this affect spear units whos main job is to basically waste the enemies time while you flank them? imo this could make them less effective because this is all i really use them for.

    I have noticed my spears taking significantly more casualties in protracted fights.

    The question is, how quickly do the factors go up, and after how much time? It would be nice if that were configurable.

    From what I remember of Longjohn's comments, it becomes more dangerous after about 30 seconds, but I don't know exactly how much more dangerous. He might have posted a fuller explanation on here in which case a search may turn it up.

    It's a couple of months since I worked on this now, but it doesn't go up all that quickly. It was designed to help the situation when it was taking 15 min to kill a king. I don't think it should have that much effect on normal combat.
