Yeah, i figured it was gonna be along those lines. :P I think i'll just be more careful from now on.

Ummmm.... I didn't touch those. 100% sure. Or if I did (VERY unlikely- I usually remeber the things i break) it was accidental or once again, a mistep in installing the fixes.

I think perhaps your safest bet is to install fresh. It may be faster than trying to tidy up the changes you've made here.
Already did, defraged, installed the fixes (carefully), implemented my own tweaks, and voila! works well. TY for help in pointing out how installed the fixes wrong.

Say, about those fixes, is there any chance of incorporating them into the installer? (So that this doesn't happen again...)
