I have randomized the list of playable characters and players. Now I have to do the VERY long process of writing the PMs.

Game starts when everyone has their PMs.

Day One ends on 5 PM GMT, Wednesday Oct 22, to give everyone time to log in and respond. Otherwise, you will have 48 hours to vote and discuss.

Right now it is roughly 5pm GMT, or 12:00 Noon (Eastern USA) of the 19th.

Day One begins now!

This is Kent Brockman reporting for Channel 6 eyewitness news. Several bodies have been found lying in Springfield Gorge, and they have been burned and mangled so badly that they have yet to be identified. It looks as though 7 distinct bodies have been tossed here...

This reporter is concerned, because the perpetrator of this horrendous crime could be anyone! The Springfield Mafia have been successful in eliminating their rivals from Springfield's little Chinatown district. They could be behind these latest foul murders.

Also, this reporter notes that Sideshow Bob has been released on parole for the 10th time in as many years. It's entirely possible his murderous rampage will continue tonight.

This just in, over in Itchy and Scratchyland there's been a terrible accident. Two of the park's automaton robots have malfunctioned and are now on the loose! This may be a result of the latest UFO sighting.

Finally, there have been several reports of people being viciously mauled by violent cats. I am not sure how this is happening, but we will keep you updated as the dramatic events unfold.

Mayor Quimby has been contacted at his vacation home in Florida, but the Mayor had no comment.

On an editorial note, this reporter strongly urges mob rule, in the absence of the Mayor, we are left to fend for ourselves. Everyone should grab a torch and pitchfork and meet me at the statue of Jebediah Springfield by dusk tonight, so that we may begin randomly eliminating potentially guilty people until this crime wave is over.

I've got my pitchfork. Several are available for purchase down at Cletus Spuckler's farmhouse, just in case anyone is presently unarmed. Also, Channel 6 is offering limited edition torches to commemorate this terrible tragedy. Canisters of gasoline may be purchased at the Kwik-E-mart, the Gas-N-Guzzle, and the Arsonist's Bazaar.

This foul city is nothing more than a modern day Sodom or Gomorrah. I suggest we bring the wrath of God down upon those unfortunate souls who do not vote for a lynch.

Excellent. I'll buy all of the angry mob gear in town, and sell it at a higher price for an enormous profit! I am now selling gasoline at the low price of $9001 per gallon. You won't find a lower price in Springfield!
