i've found that out of any program to have running while playing MTW, kazaa is for some reason really really bad. i've got a pretty much top of the line system and battles are always perfect unless i have this one particular program running in the background. if i pause the game, alt-tab, and close it...it goes from jerky to perfectly smooth.

Damn and i use kazaa to download large files when i play SP games. This may increase my game visuals!

Pretty much every download engine puts a heavy payload on a pc. Running these while playing MTW is not advised at all. Framerate drops can be as high as 50% or worse.
