Well, the thing is that I wanted to benefit form all of the goodies of v1.2 will bring without having to replay my 1.1 campaigns in 1.2 or prematurely end the 1.1 campaigns in favour of 1.2. Therefore, seems like the wisest thing to do right now is to finish one's current campaigns and wait 'till 1.2 or EB II comes out.
We've all been there.
By tradition, the new version of EB always gets released when I am in a Roman campaign and near to getting the Marian reforms. My current Romani campaign (I'm also playing a Pahlava one) is in the 230s BC, so no chance for a month or so.
There is no need to quit an ongoing campaign or start a new one because of a new EB version. If you have enjoyed your game so far you should finish your campaign as planned and install 1.2 before starting the next campaign.
