    Default Imperator??

Hey there guys.. One of my Family members just got named Imperator after fighting a small rebel army which came to me as a complete surprise. So it says i have to let him defeat the enemies of rome until he gets a triumph also he can't return to rome until he does... so does that mean i can't send him back to Roma?

Lol this is a funny thing Gaius Aurelius Cotta is only 20 he just finished his 4 years of study in Roma(yeah i like role-playing the game) and its Spring of 268 BC, i noticed there was a small rebel army outside the city of ariminum and i though it was about time for him to loose the Green trait well i got more than i expected which is good i think. I was also wondering if this was because of the set of traits he gained earlier, i mean 1 year earlier he gained the Army connections trait then by the 268 BC he became a Military Tribune then when he won a small battle he became Imperator.. Is this just a total coincidence? If it is its a cool one ahahaha..

The only time you shouldn't move an FM back to Rome is when they are "Prospective Truimphator" you have to wait until the Senate make him a "Truimphator" before he can enter the city, usually takes a couple of turns.

You will often get "Imperator" fighting rebels but you will never get a Truimph out of it you have to fight factions for that, and that is determined by how many cities taken battles won and how hard the odds were!

Yeah triumphs are some of the cooler features of EB. I'm glad they were fixed - all my leading Romani generals get them!

My Fm just gained a Prospective Truimphator trait after massacering a huge army of rebels... i though triumphs can only be obtained from fighting other factions? or is it because of a trait he got prevously "vanguisher of the Galli"

    Thanks!

It's only necessary that a Roman character have a "Vanquisher of" trait or the Imperator trait. Subsequent victories against any faction may allow him to get the "Prospective Triumphator trait.

i have a question but don't want to make a new thread just for this ^^ it concerns some Imperators of my empire

do roman FM change theirs names after becoming vanquishers of someone?

f.e. i have 2 Generals in Britain, both named "Spvrivs Brittannicvs" and 1 general in Africa named "Decimvs Africanvs". All 3 are Triumphators and my question now is, 1. is it coincidence that the 2 Brittannicuses have the same first Name and 2. they had other names before i suppose... why aren't they named for example from Spvrivs Ivlivs to Spvrivs Ivlivs Brittannicus, why does the Surname disappear?

In order to get sons to inherit their father's names we had to change the naming conventions for the factions, as a result when they get vanquishor traites they lose their famils name.
