Yep, A-K, unless they weren't included in desc_names.

Case in point: I have a general, Publius Aemilus Scaurus, that I wish to make Consul so he can get the Reformator trait (it seems like he isn't getting elected to office, though maybe that will change now that he is a Triumphator). So I try character_reset to attempt to find out which version of "Pvblivs Romanvs" he is. None of the A-K ones come back with a successful result and leaving it non postfixed affects one Publius something Cotta, who is a hired general running Ippone. Since that one is "Pvblivs Romanvs" in the script's eyes (why I don't know), I need to figure out how to get it to recognize the desired general. I would type it as character_reset "PvblivsA Romanvs" and get err: no such character. Also typing it as "Publivsa Romanvs", "Publivs_a Romanvs", and "Pvblivs_A Romanus" did not seem to work for any of the letters. So am I using the syntax correctly?
EDIT: I still have roughly 15 years before the non-auto Marians can occur, so I'm not really going to hold up and wait...my general will be a healthy 50 or so at the time so unless he catches the plague or a spear in his gut he'll be around. I might end up passing the 90 territory mark before though, as I'm sitting at roughly 85 now.

Does one of the names give no error message but the guy fails to get reset move points?

Try PubliusA Romanvs. The postfix letter is case-sensitive.

@Marcus: Yeah, the non postfixed one. But when you add a trait, it gives it to the Publius something Cotta, not the Publius Aemilus Scaurus I desire it to be on.
@Cullwich: I have tried that, as noted in my previous posts. For the record, I get the error message.

Well, that means that both guys have the same name and there isn't any way for the script to see one guy and not the other. That is short of killing the guy it does see. If you get the guy you don't want killed, it might then work with the guy you want.

Then I guess its off to get him killed, heh. Just a merc in any case.
