Well, I can answer two of these...

Agreed. Man I met the most boring guy ever, trying to be all stylish, upper-class and snobby, (albeit he lacked the dry wit that made the old style so grand). The guy told me in his snob accent, with his nose firmly upturned towards the sky and the wine in his left hand slowly twirling, "You... have no manners, no class and no style." I promptly responded, "Yes, and you seem to have no sense of humour."

I like, panache, but you have to be able to pull it off, otherwise you end up a snob. And snobs are no fun.

I've met a few fake millionaires like that. I just go by the Teddy Roosevelt euphemism of Speak softly and carry a large stick.

    Glad to be of help.
Sorry Lemur, I prefer the good ol new music (no emo, punk, or any bastardisation of music like that) but also classical, such as Strauss or Mozart. Country and gospel? Sounds like somebody had too much time on their hands...

Pfft. Real songs are about breaking hearts and burning personal possessions. Heathen

Do you have any notion of just how vast a swathe of the musical world you're condemning? Here's some gorgeous gospel music, which I dare you to hate.

And country? Man, you're missing out on some excellent music, not to mention some of the cleverest lyrics in the history of man. I'll always have a soft spot for:

Now the juke box is humming all the venial shortcomings of men,
But I found me this drink that can finally sink all the skills I've been wallowing in.

C'mon, Big Bill Shakespeare never wrote a better couplet.

Here's a song that finally turned my wife around on the subject of country music. "Oh, I get it," she said, "it's blues for white people." Fair enough.

Why does this always happen? I'm fine with you saying that you don't like the kind of music me or any other people listen to. It really pisses me off when you imply it's of a lower quality then what you listen to.

Ichi, take it easy, it was just my personal and biased opinion. I didn't mean to offend anyone. Plus I don't imply that it's lower quality, it's just that I made an ironic joke about it. No hard feelings Ichigo & everyone else who listens to gospel and country, I just don't like it, but don't take it that I imply it's bad and nobody should listen to it.

I don't listen to either honestly, more of a punk/indie type of guy myself. The way I interpreted it was that everything you like is great, and everything else is of a lower quality of music. I misunderstood then, and I'm sorry about the little anger filled rant. Sorry

How everyone else is so confident and find socialising so easy... or why i don't...

Why i don't care more about the fact i haven't had a girlfriend for years, or whether im tricking myself into believing this as some kind of defensive mechanism

How people get so caught up and emotional in relationships (fair play if its a really long term one, but shorter term i refer too)

Whether i am in my situation because of a lack of confidence and a real pessimism about myself or if i am actually a realist and things are as bad as they seem...

Why avoiding potential embaressment or just awkard social contact is always at the front of my mind rather than just having a good time...

    one confused grizzly..
