DARTH STALIN MOD NEED HELP!!!!

Does anyone know how to make the Darth Stalin's 1.1 Romani Fix with "corrected" Gallic Helm work. I already downloaded the full mod, but now I have the imperial legionaries with a black spot on the back of their helmet. I know that the mod mentioned above is supposed to fix the black spot, but when I go to download the mod it does not let me do the option of "Open" so the only choice I'm left with is "Save", but I don't know where to save to or what to do after. Would really appreciate some help with this!!

you need to download the ones Mucky uploaded , try forum search

however there's a problem with those too... either way download it and then I'll explain you how to correct the minor other things :P

that or download my minimod pack

Finally someone answers! I already downloaded Darth Stalin's mod "DS_Romani_fix.zip" so as of right now I have the old legionaries but they have the dark spot on back of helmet and the shield design looks different. Mucky's one is "DS_RomaniFix_Update.rar" and that is the one I can't seem to download successfully. I can't "Open" the file and I don't know where to "Save" it to.

P.S.- I don't mean to discourage you by this, but I downloaded your 1.1 minimod pack and it rendered by EB copy unplayable, so I had to reinstall EB altogether. This happened about a month and a half ago.

But it probably wasn't your minimod pack's fault, probably something I did wrong.

P.S.- Hey do you think if I tried downloading your pack again, well will it work since I already have "DS_Romani_fix.zip" already in?

hum you should had asked for help then... something must have gone wrong with the instalation then

you could try again, you shouldn't have any problems...

and about the "save" thing... you mean when you're downloading?, just save it in your desktop, this will give you a rar file in wich you can find the minimod.

you may want to tell me the next things in order to help you to use the new skins

are you using TWfanatic phalanx mod? or any other mod that moddifies the EDU?
are you using alex.exe?
are you using an aquilifer unit?

Yes. I mean when I am saving. So I just save "DS_RomaniFix_Update.rar" as, say a document to my computer? Then what.

No I am not using TWfanatic phalanx mod.I have only downloaded Darth Stalin's mod "DS_Romani_fix.zip"(which gives you the old legions but with diferent shield designs and a black back of helmet), and nothing else to my EB copy. My EB game though, is installed onto my RTW game itself, not a copy.

Both work fine though. So both EB and Vanilla RTW start in:
"C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War"I'm not using alex.exe, but I am using RTW vanilla.
Also, I'm not using an aquilifer unit.

By the way in your minimod pack you include the aquilifer unit don't you? Doesn't this conflict with EB on RTW vanilla since it is already has all the units it can hold?

that's why I have two versions one for alex.exe and another for rtw.exe

save it to your computer and then unpack it with winrar, (unpack it there on your desktop and then search the files you need)

then you might need one of my EDUs to get the campaign working properly

Okay, I see the alex.exe and RTW.exe

So this what I do: follow the link that leads to "DS_Romani_fix.zip". click to download the file. when the option to either "OPEN" or "SAVE" appears, I click "SAVE". then I save it to a new document on my desktop. then I find that document and click extract? then when it tells me where to extract to I input "C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War", where I have both RTW vanilla and EB installed to? I should get an overwrite prompt and then I click yes. then it is all done? I'm not to sure what to do for the last few steps hence the question marks. Could you explain it a little better please? When you're more awake of course!!!!

1- click download
2- save to your desktop
3- right clic on the rar file and select "extract here", this will give you 3 files , a readme, one rar file for normal EB and another for TWfanatics file
4-read the ... readme =P
5-follow the instructions, extract in [wherever the readme, or the original mucky's thread says]
6- download my edu http://rapidshare.com/files/157800749/EB.rar.html
7-save my file on your desktop
8-unpack to your RTW folder [C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War]

ARGHHH!

I swear I don't know what I I'm doing wrong. Okay, after I download it to the desktop I try to "Extract here", but that option doesn't even appear when I right click the rar. Also, instead of a little yellow folder icon, I get a internet explorer little blue E icon. I'm extremely bad with computers. Any idea what to do next????

I got it to work. I just needed to download 7zip to extract the file(was going to use Winrar like you said but it cost money). Anyway thanks for your help, you were the only one who responded! Wait why do I need to download your edu http://rapidshare.com/files/157800749/EB.rar.html? What is wrong with the campaign?

yeh mucky made a mistake with his upload... he pasted the same EDU for SP and for MP, so... that makes some units "unrecruitable" when playing the campaing.... like... not being able to recruit spartans in sparte.. (learnt that the hard way =P)

so what I did was to give you the EDU used in my RTW pack , wich... I bealive should work with no problems

either way, in case of the 1% of chances of anything weird happening, you can ask me too =p
