Default Strat Map Banners and Model Textures Problem

I need some help. I have edited some faction banners and models in the strategic map, and then tested it in the vanilla game (with the file_first method). The game understood the changes and it was very ok.

After that, I copied the edited files in a mod folder, but I can't make the changed files appear in the mod's strategic map.

    Very strange.
Note that in both situations I have used Venice as base. In the mod, I have copy pasted Venice to make a new faction.
The files I have edited and dont appear are:
textures of strat models (those in the "data\models_strat\textures\" folder)
banners in "data\banners\" folder ( the ones called "symbols1.tga.dds" etc.)

    Can you help me?

Oh, and I have another question. The battle banners for a faction I have made do not flash white when the units rout. What could be wrong?
    example:

I need your help! Thank you for your time.

Stupid me. I had all those files in .dds format, because that is the format the vanilla files have once you unpack. But I looked in the Kingdoms, and it used .tga, which was the right format for a mod folder. LoL. Now it's fine.

Still, does anyone know why that faction banner does not flash white when routing?
