Default City revolt (to a determinate faction)

    Hi,

There is a list of the factions who will recive a revolted city? For example, If you take Massalia and then the city revolt, they will fall in KH hands. Other cities just revolt to the independent faction.

My main interest is to use this to keep alive some factions. I remember than once the galatian city (dont remember the name, Galatia?) revolts from AS to the Averni (or the Aeudi, cant remember).
So playing as the Romans, for example, you can take and abandon to a revolt that city, wich will fall lets say in Averni hands. Now you can wipe out all Averni cities in the Gallias without the sorrow of destroy a faction, plus you can make peace with then, as you will share no borders.

    Sorry my english
    Completed campaigns:
    1.1 Quarthadastim
    1.1 Arverni

    Actually playing:
    1.2 Koinon Hellenon

ah i had that ankyria revolt too, i'm not shure but i think they(Averni) were at the edge of existance then the AS killed them and i conquerd it^^. as KH it is pretty funny seeing citys revolt to you in regions you haven't even explored(Trapezous and Sinope)

i would also like to have a list of them all. btw: if the faction who they would revolt to does not exist any more, they revolt to Eleu, right?

I thought that was only for patch 1.2. And that it was fixed after that.

Who a city revolts to is dependant on what faction the palace building belongs to. If a faction upgratdes a city, loose it, then it rebels, it will go to that faction.

As for rebels, there are two different settings. Every faction has a set faction that 'founded' the city even if it is rebel. If one of these settlements rebel before the palace building is upgraded it will go to that faction. There is a second setting that is usually the same but sometimes differs. This will determine what faction will become the 'founder' if the settlement's palace is upgraded by the rebels. Some examples of these are places like Arse that start out as Lusotanna but when upgraded by the rebels goes Koinon Hellenon.

I used to have a map of these, but I it was changed so much since the map was made it became useless.

The rebels can be the founder/creator of a settlement, but then there are cultural problems, since the rebels have to have a default culture tag. No CTDs, just text bugs and such.

If a town would rebel to a faction but that faction is the one loosing the town, the town can only rebel to the rebels. Sometimes a town will rebel to the rebels even if they can rebel to an existing faction, btw.

I forget where all the statistics are and which ones do which, but there are three of them "founder", "creator", and "owner". I think they are all in different files, one is in the descr_regions.txt. I haven't personally messed with these for years and can't remember.
