Thread: Some questions

    Default Some questions

I just discovered EB and am interested in dowloading it to my copy of RTW. I have some questions:

    1. Are very man terrain features, like forests and rivers, named on the campaign map?

    2. About how many new settlements are there for the geographic area covered by RTW? (settlements added to RTW)

    3. Are Roman civil wars simulated in any way?

    4. Finally, this might be an obvious no, but is it possible to combine EB and Rome Total Realism by downloading them to the same program?

    Thanks.

    1. You cannot name features such as forests and rivers on the campaign map.

    2. The map has been extended to the east some bit and we use the full 199 provinces, generally the part of our map covered by the RTW area is far more detailed.

    3. No they aren't, though there are several reforms including the destruction of the republic.

    4. If you use the mod-foldered version or RTR then you can have RTR and EB installed in the same RTW folder (and you can play both separately).

    1. So exactly how many provinces are there in the original RTW? I guess that's what I'm getting at with the map detail.

    2. So I guess if you download the two mods together, changes that appear only on RTR initially won't be added to EB.

    3. Is it possible to add cities to the EB campaign map by editing the campaign script?

    4. I was also wondering if Roman names in EB have the more historically accurate three-name system, as opposed to the less accurate and more simplistic naming in RTW.

    Thanks.

    1. I have no idea. I don't play RTW.

    2. For the most part it is impossible for stuff in RTR to appear in EB because both EB and RTR change the same things (though differently). Mods don't work in that way.

    3. No, we are at the max number of settlements and provinces allowable by the RTW engine.

    4. We have the historically accurate 3-name system.

Thanks again. One final question: when the player is playing as the Romans, does the Senate act endependently of the player, as in RTW?

No, in EB the player is the senate.
