    Angry Interesting Situation

Anyways, I started a Scipii campaign a while back with the intention of creating the Eastern Roman Empire(I should mod in some Scipii cataphracts). Anyways, I made sure the Scipii family died out, replaced mainly by some guys with the following surnames: Vipsanius, Aurelius, & Agrippa. Those are only the main families, with various other smaller branches in the family tree, INCLUDING a certain Constantinius who married in a generation ago! I made him king, and renamed the capital city from Nova Roma(previously Byzantium) to Constantinopolis.

Anyways, his son Decimus Constantinius is now the FL, and I finally got enough popular support to start a civil war, which I did. After taking southern Italy, I annihilated the main SPQR army in one of the most intense battles I ever fought.

Now here's the really interesting part: I demanded that the SPQR become a Protectorate, and offered to pay them 3'000'000 denari/$$$. They accepted!!!! The other roman factions are also outlawed as I was, so there were no alliances at all to ruin this relationship. Just me with SPQR as the protectorate.

This was so cool, so I saved and exited to post this. I can bring back some updated info to see how it goes if ppl are interested in it. Mainly, I want to see if the elected positions (consul, etc.) will come back, and also see if the Senate will still assign me missions. Whatever the case may be, I'm an Emporer in all but name. I wonder how the Senate(& the other Roman factions) will react to this domination!

Huh, cool. What year are you at?

I always try to get my main faction name to die out (Julii, Brutii, or Scipii), but I always fail because I don't have the heart to kill off good family members. >.<

    Thumbs up Re: Interesting Situation

Dang Senate. They outlawed me a few turns later. But I ain't gonna wipe them out, oh no. I'll post a screenie in a few days. Maybe late this night. We'll see.

EDIT: It's 201 B.C. I'm playing using Mundus Magnus with a few minor modifications(unit recruitment, etc.).

Heck, I think I may try this. I believe that the senate offices are void after the defeat of SPQR, that could be a problem. Maybe if you hold all/ at least <consul before you start the civil war you may have a chance at having more favour the senate, I know i'm clutching at straws. Console cheats for traits maybe.

I'll see what I can do about this. I'm currently wiping out the Brutii in Africa and the Julii in Corsica(city of Aleria), but still making sure the Senate is up and running. Consul cheat!
