Can't start campaign

So I wanted to play EB again.

I installed RTW, patched to 1.3, patched to 1.5.
Checked the game: worked perfectly.

I install EB, I choose the directory where my RTW is installed for the EB installation and install the game.
Still no problems, but the moment I choose a faction to start a campaign and press to button to start my computer freezes and the only thing I can do is a reset.

I tried custom battle: It worked.

Anybody got an idea how to fix this?
